The first cargo for the Duqm Refinery project has made its entry at Port of Duqm. A total of 3396 tonnes of cargo, including approximately 1350 specialised steel plates, imported from India, were discharged at the port’s commercial quay. These steel plates will be used for building the massive crude oil storage tanks at Raz Markaz.
A statement from the port authority said, “This is just the beginning. The Port of Duqm is fully preparing to accommodate all imports for the Duqm Refinery project during its construction.”
