The Maritime Standard Newsletter

Headquartered in Dubai, The Maritime Standard (TMS) produces a fortnightly e-newsletter which is aimed at executives in the shipping, ports, transportation and logistics sectors, as well as the wider maritime technology and business communities. It is delivered regularly on the 1st and 15th of every month, and offers an insightful, clearly written news digest focusing on developments in the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent primarily. Over the course of recent years, the publication has built up the largest readership of any shipping-related online newsletter in the region. It has also raised its profile in other major shipping hubs, such as Oslo, Hamburg, Singapore, London and Greece, where it has a growing number of readers.

Topics that are regularly covered in The Maritime Standard include tanker shipping, container operations, dry and liquid bulk trades, ro-ro, and cruise shipping. In addition, readers can find up to date information about regional terminal operations; port development; classification; ship repair and conversion; shipbuilding; ship agency; finance and insurance; maritime law; and transportation & logistics. The newsletter, which will celebrate the publication of its 200th edition in 2022, further carries exclusives, analysis and frequent interviews with top executives.

The Maritime Standard UAE Yearbook

Every year The Maritime Standard publishes the much praised TMS UAE Yearbook. The sixth volume covering 2021/2022 was published in Summer 2021 and around 10,000 copies were printed and distributed worldwide, generating a high profile on a global basis. On top of using TMS’ well-established databases, the distribution networks for the Yearbook include most of the major maritime conferences and exhibitions, including Posidonia, Norshipping and SMM, while a number of leading organisations and businesses display them at their headquarters and on their stands at such events.

Covering key developments across the country’s maritime sector, the annual publication aims to publicise the UAE’s achievements both locally and internationally, through a series of in-depth, well-researched articles. These take a look at all the major sectors of the shipping, ports, and maritime industry in the UAE. The articles, including features on ports and terminal operators, shipping companies, shipyards, maritime law firms, classification societies, regulators and inland transport firms, among others, are viewed by the industry as a year-round reference point. The Maritime Standard UAE Yearbook is a must-read publication for everyone interested in UAE maritime issues.

We want to make sure that we offer as comprehensive a coverage of news and developments in these sectors as possible. So we enable you to upload your press release here. That would help to make sure we don’t miss any of your announcements and can give them the exposure they deserve
