
As part of its efforts to work with key industry bodies in the region’s maritime sector, the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre (EMAC) has held high level meetings with senior executives in Fujairah, including representatives of the port authority and the local Chamber of Commerce.
EMAC’s leadership discussed with Port of Fujairah General Manager, Captain Mousa Murad, and Harbour Master, Captain Tamer Masoud, opportunities for collaboration to support further growth of the maritime sector in the Emirate. At the second meeting, the EMAC team visited the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and held talks with its Chairman of Board of Directors, H.E. Khalifa Khamis Mattar Alkaabi, and Director General, Khalid Mohammed Al Jassim. Following these talks at the Chamber headquarters, both parties agreed to collaborate by bringing the maritime community in Fujairah together at shared workshops and related events.
Majid Obaid bin Bashir, Acting Chairman to the Board of Trustees and Chairman to the Executive Committee and Secretary General at EMAC, said: “These meetings reflect our commitment to working with all entities within the region’s maritime sector to help drive forward the sector in the United Arab Emirates in line with international best practices and the country.
