The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has completed the initial two-year long phase of the Maritime Advisory Council, which provides a framework for public-private sector partnership working. DMCA believes this is one of the most important strategic initiatives under the umbrella of the Dubai Maritime Sector Strategy.
It is planned that a second term of the Council will get underway in the near future. This time it will focus on regeneration and recreation, as well as using innovative ideas to promote competitive advantages for the Dubai maritime cluster.
According to Amer Ali, executive director, DMCA, “The second term of the Maritime Advisory Council will continue to pursue integration, competitiveness and cooperation among maritime pioneers from the private and government sectors to support Dubai’s promotion on the global maritime map. The upcoming term is of strategic importance as a continuation of the first term, which witnessed significant achievements.”
