
The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) is to have a high profile presence at this year’s SMM show in Hamburg, which takes place from September 4th to 7th, alongside Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry will provide DMCA with a global platform to showcase Dubai’s leadership and standards of excellence as one of the world’s most competitive maritime hubs. This status was recently reflected by Dubai being named as one of the world’s top five in the International Shipping Centre Development Index (ISCD), making it the first Arab city to achieve this position in the maritime sector.
During the exhibition, DMCA plans to highlights a number of initiatives designed to encourage innovation and harness the power of technology within the local maritime sector. In particular SMM will provide an opportunity to showcase the benefits and features of the Innovation Quay, Sea Dubai, Maritime Dubai and the Dubai Maritime Virtual Cluster (DMVC).
