Saudi Arabian shipping and logistics group, Bahri, has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Greek maritime firms Dynacom and SeaTraders with the aim of further developing collaboration and enhancing its existing fleet. Both agreements were signed during the recent Saudi Greek Investment Forum in Athens, which was held on the sidelines of the visit of H.R.H. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Greece.
The first MoU was signed between Bahri and Dynacom, while the second was signed between Bahri’s business division, Bahri Dry Bulk, and Sea Traders. Both agreements are effective for a one-year period are are designed to “assist the companies’ existing capabilities, establish avenues to seamlessly transfer technology and services, and help develop prosperity within the landscape of both national economies.”
Eng. Ahmed Ali Alsubaie, CEO of Bahri, commented positively on the MoUs, stating, “With the signing of these two significant agreements, Bahri has taken yet another major leap towards improving the operational efficiency of our fleet and further establishing our organization both regionally and globally. Dynacom and SeaTraders have developed impressive service portfolios, and we are excited to build a lasting relationship that embodies innovation and strengthens our country’s bilateral relations.”
In another initiative Bahri has signed a strategic partnership with Aventra Group, that includes building a maritime-based data orchestration platform solution that will securely store, sort, and combine data across Bahri’s business units, allowing the company to streamline and automate data-driven decision-making.
The new platform will collect and prepare data, analyse transactional efficiency, and stream real-time information, including data from sensor-based Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This data will then be used to facilitate greater business insights using both machine learning automation and artificial intelligence (AI).
Bahri says its decision to partner with Aventra Group will “facilitate agile decision-making to properly manage risks and opportunities for customers, suppliers, and employees.”
