Bahri Ship Management has become the latest high-profile ship owner and manager to join the International Shipsuppliers and Services Association (ISSA) after its President, Abdulaziz Sabri, accepted an invitation to join the association as an honorary member.
ISSA’s decision to launch a new honorary membership category for ship managers reflects the importance it places on engaging with ship managers and owners around the world. Owners and managers joining ISSA as honorary members will be able to participate in running the association by attending its working groups and sharing best practices.
Welcoming the news, Saeed Al Malik, ISSA President, said: “Having Bahri as a member of ISSA is an excellent news and we look forward to working together to improve the way owners, managers, and ship suppliers tackle issues of importance in the industry. Attracting shipowners and ship management companies into ISSA as honorary members is essential as it underlines the importance of dialogue and cooperation between suppliers and buyers, as we all strive to achieve an efficient and effective procurement operation, future-proofed for the months and years ahead. “
