Asyad Ports, a member of Oman’s diversified Asyad Group, has reached another milestone on its journey towards operational excellence by securing the internationally recognised Integrated Management System (IMS) certification.
According to Asyad its ports division met all IMS certification requirements within less than a year, with multiple audits conducted internally and with further inspection by an external body. Its integrated management system is designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness and optimise cost while minimising the disruption caused by repeated external audits. It is also said to reflect a strong commitment to enhanced performance, higher employee and customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
“Receiving the IMS certification is a testament to our continuous efforts to increase effectiveness, streamline business processes and ensure the highest quality of services in our facilities,” said Dr. Ahmed Al Abri, Chief Executive Officer of Asyad Ports. “Our extensive ISO certifications portfolio reinforces the faith our customers and partners place in Asyad Ports as a trusted name for consistency and customer satisfaction. This achievement will play a major role in attracting new shipping lines and improving our operations.”
With IMS certification, Asyad Ports adds to its already impressive portfolio of international certificates that reflects its declared commitment to develop robust operations, ensure standardisation of management processes and diligently apply occupational health and safety practices. Asyad Ports has previously been awarded several other management and quality certifications, including the International Certificate for the Management of Occupational Health and safety (ISO 45001), International Certificate for Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and the International Certificate of Quality (ISO 9001).
