Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy, an Abu Dhabi Ports company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s marine and logistics subsidiary, ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), to offer cadetships to Emirati students enrolled at the Academy, providing then with first-hand experience onboard ADNOC vessels.
Under the terms of the two-year MoU, ADNOC L&S will accommodate cadets from Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy on its vessels to undertake a cadetship programme delivering the necessary education and training required for a career in the maritime industry. The agreement will also enable them to complete sea service, during which they will be able to practice their newly acquired knowledge on both local and international voyages.
Abdulkareem Al Masabi, chief executive, ADNOC Logistics & Services welcomed the agreement. He says, “This solidifies our continued commitment to the development of ADNOC and the UAE and to delivering in-country value within the maritime industry.”
