Elcome International, one of the leading marine solutions providers and system integrators in the Middle East, has signed a distribution agreement with Japan Radio Company (JRC) and its technology partner Alphatron Marine.
Under the agreement, the Dubai-based company will take on responsibility for sales and service of JRC and Alphatron Marine products in the Middle East, India and Sri Lanka. Elcome will also carry out annual performance tests for JRC Voyage Data Recorders and Simplified Voyage Data Recorders. “JRC and Alphatron Marine are highly respected brands in the marine electronics industry with a very broad range of navigation, communications, automation, IT and other electronic systems meeting the highest international standards,” comments Jimmy Grewal, executive director of Elcome International. “This agreement will allow us to broaden the portfolio of bridge electronics we can offer our growing customer base of vessel operators and shipyards across the region. In addition, the service partnership with JRC and Alphatron Marine will greatly strengthen our position as the largest marine service provider in the Indian Ocean region.” Elcome services over 600 vessels per month in the Arabian Gulf alone, with a claimed first-time fix rate of 96 per cent.
