
UK-based Inchcape Shipping Services and Sri Lanka’s John Keells Holdings have signed a joint venture agreement to form a new company called Inchcape Mackinnon Mackenzie Shipping (Private) Limited which will provide a wide range of maritime services in Sri Lanka. These include port agency, ship husbandry, crew logistics, ship chandelling, bunker fuel supply, liner agency, marine survey and inspection and logistics services.
With 240 offices in 60 countries, employing over 2,500 staff, Inchcape is one of the largest maritime service providers in the world, while John Keells Holdings (JKH) is Sri Lanka’s largest listed company on the Colombo Stock Exchange, operating over 70 companies in different industry sectors. JKH ports and shipping businesses include South Asia Gateway Terminals, Lanka Marine Services and Mackinnon Mackenzie and Company (Shipping) Limited.
