UAE-based shipyard Gulf Craft’s new collection of Nomad long-range luxury yachts were revealed at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. One of the leading boat builders in the region, Gulf Craft debuted two Nomad yachts at the event – the Nomad 95 Sports Utility Vessel (SUV) and the Nomad 75 SUV. These both feature a hybrid hull design that aims to deliver an outstanding ride even in rough conditions, as well as long-range cruising capabilities at around 15-20 knots, with a top speed of up to 25 knots.
Both the Nomad 95 SUV and the Nomad 75 SUV feature semi-displacement hybrid hulls. Designed by British Naval Architect, Andrew Wolstenholme, they are built to withstand any sea condition and long-distance journeys. Made of advanced composite materials, including Kevlar and carbon fibre, the new Nomad Yachts are described by the company as being “light, strong and fuel efficient.”
Gulf Craft has also unveiled the tri-deck Majesty 120, a 37m addition to the Majesty Yachts range. Announced during the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 by Gulf Craft Executive Chairman, Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, the UAE builder confirmed that the first hull is already under construction, with completion scheduled for March 2020.
Alshaali said the new vessel was ideally suited to both European and American markets and is highly environment friendly. “With the Majesty 120, everything except for the engines and generators are electrically powered. All services onboard will not require any use of hydraulics,” he pointed out.
