Having taken delivery of the first in a series of 26,000 dwt chemical tankers, Solar Sharna, from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in mid-June, Tristar’s Eships subsidiary received the second sister ship, Solar Nesrin on time on 30th June from the same South Korean shipyard. It has been confirmed that the third vessel in this series, all of which are destined for long term charters with Shell, will be called Solar Suzanne, and is to be delivered next week on July 23rd. The remaining three sister ships will be handed over to Tristar by January 2021.
Dentons Abu Dhabi and Dentons London advised a syndicate of banks including National Australia Bank, Société Générale, Standard Chartered Bank and Banco Santander in relation to an English law-governed US$166 million syndicated lease to part finance the purchase of the six chemical tankers.
