
The Maritime Standard Tanker Conference 2025: Final Line-Up of Industry Leaders Confirmed
Preparations for the 10th annual Maritime Standard Tanker Conference 2025, which will take place on Thursday, 30th October at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai, are nearing their conclusion. A really high quality line up of speakers, from many different segments of the industry, have been finalised for both Session 1 in the morning and Session 2 after lunch.
With the theme “Tanker shipping negotiates challenging market headwinds”, the conference will explore headline market trends in the crude, products, chemical, and gas tanker sectors. Discussions will address key commercial, geopolitical, and technical challenges, along with sustainability imperatives, technological innovation, and the evolving range of services required to support the global tanker industry.
Session 1, which will look at Sustainable strategies – how best to overcome tanker shipping’s current uncertainties will be led by keynote speaker Dr Ibrahim Al Nadhairi, CEO of ASYAD Shipping. He will be followed by Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO Maritime and Shipping Cluster, AD Ports Group; Abdul Bari Alzubaidi, Senior Vice President, Ship Management, ADNOC L&S; Ali Abouda, Group CFO of Gulf Navigation Holding; Nafeesa Moloobhoy, Managing Director of A.S Moloobhoy Limited; Navin Kumar, Director of Drewry Maritime Research; Dipak Karki, Managing Director of DK2; Bard Poulsson, Senior Vice President and International Marine Lead, Lockton; and Captain Ankur Arora, Global Market Lead, Tankers, Bureau Veritas – Marine and Offshore. They will be joined on stage by session moderator, Clive Woodbridge, Editor, The Maritime Standard.
Session 2 in the afternoon will focus on the theme of Boosting operational efficiency while maintaining a focus on green shipping.
