The Maritime Standard launches Global Awards 2026
The Maritime Standard announces the launch of the TMS Global Awards 2026, the international expansion of its renowned awards programme that has recognised excellence in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent for more than a decade.
Since their inception, the TMS Awards have honoured outstanding performance across shipping, ports, and related sectors. Over the years, they have been held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline, underscoring their credibility and standing in the maritime industry.
Building on this strong foundation, the TMS Global Awards will now recognise exceptional organisational and individual achievements on a global scale. The inaugural edition is scheduled for May 2026 at the Guildhall, London, one of the city’s most prestigious and historic venues. The event will bring together senior executives, innovators, and industry experts from across shipping, ports, logistics, and maritime services worldwide.
The awards aim to celebrate performance, foster innovation, and set international benchmarks for excellence in the maritime sector. An independent judging process will be implemented, supported by a panel of senior industry leaders.
Categories will cover a wide range of areas, recognising companies and individuals who are shaping the future of shipping, ports, and associated maritime services. The programme is designed to highlight leadership, innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability within the sector.
“After more than ten years of recognising maritime achievement in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, we are pleased to take the awards to the global stage. The TMS Global Awards 2026 will bring together the world’s leading maritime organisations and professionals, recognise outstanding performance, and set a new benchmark for the industry”, said Trevor Pereira, Managing Director of The Maritime Standard.
The inaugural edition will provide a valuable platform for the international maritime community to connect, share knowledge, and strengthen professional networks. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage with peers, discuss emerging trends, and gain insight into innovations driving the industry forward.
Nominations for the first edition of the TMS Global Awards will open shortly. Shortlisted entries will be reviewed and scored by the judging panel, ensuring that winners are selected through a fair, structured, and credible process.
