Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has launched a new range of applications and services for online inquiries and payments in line with its ongoing smart transformation and innovation initiatives. The newly introduced technology is designed to make the process of interacting with DMCA more convenient, flexible and faster.
The newly launched portfolio of digital solutions includes a range of electronic and interactive services, including Application Status; Crew License Validity; Craft License Validity; Penalty Search; Apply for Penalty Objection; Penalty Payment; and Service Payment. Interactive features are designed to answer customer queries about marine services; make payments without having to visit the DMCA headquarters; and provide innovative solutions in support of Dubai’s transformation into a smart city.
“Our smart platforms and e-portal are a major boost to the development of the maritime sector in line with the latest smart innovations that support the government’s goal to reduce by 80 per cent the number of applicants visiting our customer service centres by the end of this year,” said Mahmoud Oweida, director of Information Technology, DMCA. These latest smart solutions follow on from other DMCA’s initiatives including the Dubai Maritime Virtual Cluster (DMVC); Innovation Quay; Maritime Innovation Lab; Sea Dubai; and Maritime Dubai, among others.
