Petrochem inaugurates new Jebel Ali terminal
Petrochem Middle East has inaugurated an AED 300 million petrochemical terminal and corporate headquarters at DP World’s Jebel Ali port complex. The facility is Petrochem’s largest terminal to date and consolidates its local operational and corporate functions on a single, purpose-built site.
Designed to strengthen chemical distribution, storage and logistics infrastructure, the investment expands the UAE’s chemical handling and distribution capacity and is expected to support local manufacturing, enhance supply chain resilience and boost Dubai’s competitiveness as a global trade hub.
Rohan Mehta, Managing Director at Petrochem, said, “This inauguration represents far more than a new office address for Petrochem. It is a statement of intent. After 30 years of growth, moving from rented offices to owning and operating our own world-class terminal and headquarters gives our people, partners, and stakeholders the confidence that we are building for the long term.”
The development represents Petrochem’s second terminal in the UAE. Founded in Dubai in 1995, Petrochem Middle East is a UAE-born, family-owned company that has grown from a single office in Jebel Ali Free Zone into a multinational chemical distributor with operations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa. The relocation of its headquarters to Jebel Ali reflects the company’s need for greater operational scale, integration and proximity to major trade and logistics infrastructure.
Led by Founder and Chairman Yogesh Mehta alongside his son, Rohan Mehta, Managing Director, and supported by Chief Executive Officer Venu Nayar, the development underlines Petrochem’s long-term commitment to Dubai.
