
Nico International, the UAE based marine and industrial engineering company, has entered into a territorial partnership agreement with Dragon Marine Service of Turkey. Through the agreement Nico plans to extend the range of services it provides to the marine sector across Turkey, strengthening its position in this key market, with Dragon Marine Services representing the company as its local partner.
“This partnership is a significant step for us and will help us to becoming an even more attractive market player,” said Prakash Kumar, general manager, Nico International.
The signing of the agreement with Dragon Marine follows confirmation that 2017 was a positive trading year for Nico International, with healthy business trends evident in a number of market segments. The company reports significant success in its shiprepair activities, assisted by continued support from key clients such as Maersk Line, US Navy, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, MOL Tankship, UAE Coast Guard, Dubai Dry Docks, Zakher Marine and Zamil Offshore, among others.
More than 3500 individual afloat repair jobs were completed onboard various vessels during the course of the year, and as many as 150 riding squads were deployed at any given time. Additionally, Nico successfully completed over 57 drydocking jobs from its operational bases in Dubai and Fujairah.
