Charge CCCV (C4V) and UAE-based Trot Solutions are to spearhead an initiative aimed at transforming ports into eco-friendly and sustainable hubs. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development, supply chain establishment and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and solutions for green and sustainable ports.
The collaboration between C4V and Trot Solutions aims to introduce “innovative solutions that will revolutionise the port industry into an environmentally friendly industry,” using a range of technologies such as renewable energy supply and storage options, advanced lithium-ion cell technologies, port equipment electrification, and the use of clean energy sources including solar and wind power.
According to Kuldeep Gupta, President of C4V, “Seaports support 80% of the global trade and sea transport should strive to be greener and powered by a self-sustainable infrastructure. By collaborating with Trot Solutions, we can implement our advanced lithium-ion cell manufacturing technology, providing energy storage solutions at ports to support operations around the clock and build greener, smarter, and more sustainable ports for the future.”
Trot Solutions, which has experience of working in a number of leading regional ports, says it is excited to partner with C4V to foster positive transformation in the port industry. “Through our combined efforts, we aim to create sustainable ports that serve as beacons of environmental responsibility, while driving economic growth and innovation,” said Md. Rizwan Ali, Managing Director at Trot Solutions.
