Safina, one of Egypt’s leading shipping services providers, has expressed its optimism about prospects for the breakbulk shipping sector, not just in the Middle East but further afield. Speaking ahead of the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre (SWEECC), Mohamad El Ahwal, chief executive of Safina, said: “The future for project and breakbulk cargo is very promising in the Middle East and Safina is an integral part of these operations both in the region and wider afield. With experienced people on the ground at every Egyptian port we are looking to be not merely service providers but real partners in cargo handling.”

El Ahwal added, “We have the skills and the knowledge and more importantly we have created an experienced team that is in constant communication with captains, ship owners, operators and crew during every stage of our service provision.”
