The development of Dubai’s Drydocks World’s South Yard facility, which significantly increases its fabrication capacity, and will be equipped with advanced technologies to offer improved services to its clients, is now getting underway.
The yard is constructing the new 70,000m2 area, which will be dedicated for newbuilding projects. According to the company, it will feature “cutting-edge equipment, a much leaner execution process and a completely new load-out facility for heavy structures.” Overall, the new South Yard site is expected to appeal particularly to offshore oil and gas and renewable energy clients, giving Drydocks World a competitive advantage, both in the region and globally.
According to Captain Rado Antolovic PhD, CEO of Drydocks World, “We are very excited by the plans we have for our South Yard facility as we believe there are a number of firms in the market looking for this kind of dedicated area offering specialist facilities and technology. We are confident it will play a vital role in attracting new strategic partnerships.”
