Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) and classification society DNV GL have formed a strategic partnership to innovate, develop and implement initiatives to enhance Dubai’s maritime sector. The joint venture aims to focus on smart navigation, digitisation, big data and data management, to boost the emirate’s technology capabilities.
The mutually beneficial co-operation will develop a range of maritime programmes, working with local universities, educational establishments, academic institutions, research centres and governmental bodies. The framework agreement will allow both organisations to access recent developments in maritime technology.
