Bahrain shipyard ASRY recently celebrated the International Day for Women in Maritime at the company’s headquarters in Hidd, by highlighting some of the key roles now being played by women in the company as a result of promotions and recruitment.
Sahar Ataeei, currently ASRY’s Chief Financial Officer, commented, “Women have strengthened their role with hard work, courage, determination as reliable partners in the company’s sustainable development process where they have proven their worth and excelled.”
In recent months ASRY has appointed Hanan Alali as Business Transformation Manager and Sara Abdin has joined as the Head of Corporate Communications. Additionally, Ameera AlShaiba has become the first female diver to join ASRY, Noor Seyadi is the first Bahraini female to join the ASRY Engineering team and Shoug Hussain has recently joined ASRY’s Ship Repair Department as a project coordinator. Noor and Shoug both joined ASRY as trainee engineers and have undergone an extensive training and development program before being promoted to their current positions.
