One of the region’s leading shiprepair yards, ASRY in Bahrain, has appointed Sahar Ataaei as its new Deputy Chief Executive Officer. This appointment coincides with a restructuring of the executive management team to reflect the yard’s ongoing drive towards modernisation. Following the high level reorganisation, Sahar will be directly responsible for overseeing ASRY’s Finance, Accounts, Human Resources, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Corporate Communications and Support Services functions.
According to ASRY Managing Director, Mazen Matar, “We are naturally proud to have one of the most experienced and competent national female leaders rising up our executive management team and anticipate further positive contributions from a career that has already brought many advantages to the company and country. Sahar’s ongoing contributions will be invaluable to building an inclusive company, as well as demonstrating to the wider industry the benefits of diversity.”
Since joining the company in 2019 as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Sahar has played a prominent role in implementing ASRY’s modernisation strategy, as well as restructuring the company’s financial resources and accounting operations, working to establish IT infrastructure, and leading digital transformation across all departments within ASRY.
