Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC) is implementing StormGeo’s environmental performance management solution across its tanker fleet to manage the environmental performance of its vessels and meet greenhouse gas emissions regulations
The company has recently signed a three-year agreement to use StormGeo’s Environmental Performance module on all tankers at AMPTC’s disposal, a decision that follows several months of market analysis. Incorporating StormGeo’s technology into its voyage performance optimisation systems is expected to enable AMPTC to upgrade its fleet’s commercial and environmental performance, by improving data quality and facilitating data management.
StormGeo’s Environmental Performance module, in s-Insight, is a tool designed to monitor the environmental impact of emissions, improve environmental performance, and keep the fleet compliant with decarbonisation regulations and initiatives through reporting and validation. Hesham Moustafa, StormGeo’s representative in Dubai, says, “We see and value the importance of helping Middle East shipowners and charterers achieve their green house gas emissions targets by supporting them with our latest technologies and services that will benefit both our planet and the maritime industry for a greener future. We are ready to bring value to the AMPTC’s fleet with accurate and reliable data and expertise that is proven to show results.”
