Sohar Port marks completion of Maseer training programme
Oman’s Sohar Port and Freezone, working in collaboration with Kidsity, recently finished the fourth edition of its Maseer education and training programme, with a closing ceremony which recognised outstanding students for their creativity and leadership. The event also featured an exhibition showcasing the innovative solutions and technical projects developed by participating students, reflecting the skills and knowledge they gained through the programme’s training workshops and hands-on learning experiences.
The Maseer programme focuses on long-term human capital development, innovation and digital readiness. Over the course of 20 training days, participants accumulated a total of 16,400 training hours – 40 hours per student – dedicated to practical learning, problem-solving and project-based experiences. At the conclusion of the programme, all 410 participants received officially accredited certificates from the Ministry of Labour.
Said Al Balushi, Administration Government Relation Manager at Sohar Port and Freezone, said: “Investing in young people means investing in the future of our community and our country. Through initiatives such as Maseer, we are pleased to support platforms that help students discover their potential and build the confidence to take on future opportunities.”
