Gulf Navigation rebrands as Etihad Energy Holding
Dubai Financial Market- listed shipping company Gulf Navigation has changed its name to Etihad Energy Holding. This is intended to better reflect the balance of the company’s business since the acquisition of Brooge Holdings earlier this year.
Shareholders confirmed the decision at its recent AGM, when they also elected H.E. Suhail Al Mazrouei as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, and Rasool Alameri as Vice Chairman.
Eng. Saif Al Hazaimeh, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the company, indicated that the transition to Etihad Energy Holding reflects a “renewed corporate identity for a broader and more ambitious entity, which brings together specialised maritime logistics services and energy storage solutions under one integrated operating platform.”
Al Hazaimeh confirmed that the Group continues to implement its third expansion phase in Fujairah within the port’s Oil Industrial Zone, in line with approved timelines. This phase will add storage capacity for petroleum products, enhancing the Group’s position in the storage sector in Fujairah. He added that the Group is simultaneously continuing engineering studies for an integrated refining facility project, which would enable it to transition from being an infrastructure operator to a fully integrated player across the oil value chain, from reception and storage to refining.
