Drydocks World secures ISO 27001 certification
Dubai-based shipyard Drydocks World has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification with zero non-conformities by classification society Bureau Veritas (BV), marking a significant milestone in strengthening its information security governance, cybersecurity resilience and operational risk management. The achievement reinforces the shipyard’s commitment to international compliance standards across its ship repair, offshore engineering and maritime services operations.
According to a statement by the company, “This certification by a global accreditation body affirms our strong ability to safeguard sensitive information, manage risks effectively, and operate in line with international best practices, providing assurances to customers, partners and regulators.”
The certification reflects Bureau Veritas’ assessment of the robustness of the shipyard’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), which supports secure handling of operational data, digital infrastructure protection and compliant project delivery across complex and data-sensitive maritime activities. The recognition is expected to strengthen stakeholder confidence, enhance customer trust and reinforce Drydocks World’s long-term commitment to digital security, regulatory alignment and resilient shipyard operations.
