After successfully holding its Golden Eagles golf tournament in India for a number of years, Krishnapatnam Port is now taking the event overseas. Most recently the tournament was held in Dubai, a port that is connected to Navayuga Container Terminal (NCT) in Krishnapatnam with two liner services every week.
To network with customers in what is an important market, NCT – formerly known as Krishnapatnam Port Container Terminal – held the tournament at the Dubai Creek golf course, where participants got to play along with and meet top management, including Sasidhar Chinta and Anil Yendluri, respectively managing director and chief executive of Krishnapatnam Port, and Vinita Venkatesh, Director of Navayuga Container Terminal. The guests also got the opportunity to play and interact with the legendary former cricketer Kapil Dev and Prashant Kovind, the son of the President of India.
On the morning of the 28th February, around 65 invited customers and well-wishers gathered in high spirits to tee off and enjoy a wonderful morning of golf and camaraderie. Also present was Ahlan Ramsey, who played on the LPGA tour in 2016 and is now part of the NCT team, looking after marketing in the US. She was joined by her sister, Taylor Ramsey, a professional golf enthusiast from the US, who has started a role as NCT representative in Singapore.
After finishing their rounds, participants met back at the clubhouse for a cocktail dinner on the private terrace where they enjoyed the announcements of the winners and a beautiful evening with elegant entertainment. Jayaram H, Senior Manager, Vasco Global Maritime, was the luckiest man of the day, winning the tournament for the second year in a row. He got to take home a beautiful Rolex watch along with a stunning trophy.
