DP World subsidiary, P&O Maritime, has completed the acquisition of Reyser, a Spanish company providing a range of maritime services. Reyser delivers harbor towage, mooring, bunkering and environmental services at a network of 10 ports in Spain, as well as LNG terminals at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, and Port Fortin in Trinidad and Tobago. It owns a total of 151 vessels, including 20 tugs, 53 mooring boats and over 70 ships that carry out environmental work.
According to Rado Antolovic, managing director of Dubai-based P&O Maritime, “This is a landmark deal in our more than 50 year history which underlines our global intentions to provide maritime services across diverse markets around the world. The acquisition allows us to consolidate our market position in Spain, while securing entry to new geographies and markets, offering significant scope to diversify and grow our business.”
